Government
The town of Valeton is ruled by its Elder Council, the chief officer of which is the Mayor. The Council is elected by the men of the town every five years. The current Mayor is Doro Barrelhome.
The Town Steward presides over the city’s bureaucracy. This bureaucracy is devoted primarily to the maintenance of the town treasury and the collection of taxes. The Town Steward is also the keeper of all the town’s records.
The Magistrate presides over the town’s court.
The town maintains a local volunteer militia for protection. The militia is overseen by the Militia Captain, who is paid a stipend by the town.
The Constable enforces the Council’s laws within the town, along with a team of deputies.

The temple to Rosaela stands at the heart of the city and is a major meeting place for fellowship.
