Trunthar is a son of Skondir and brother of several of the other gods of the Dwarven Pantheon. Trunthar is the dwarven god of friendship and loyalty. As a brother of Duragh, he has used his Diplomacy to break up many a dispute over the affections of his sister. Thus, he uses his skills to end feuds, encourage neighborly conduct among his followers and works to ensure that dwarves remember friends they haven’t seen in many years.

Dogma

Trunthar teaches that the bonds of friendship and loyalty should be as strong as adamantine and as light a burden as mithral. Negotiation can often yield as pleasing a result—or better—than strength of arms. But sometimes it does become necessary to fight for what is true and good, and when that time comes, there is nothing better than having your friends by your side.

Clergy and Temples

Many dwarves maintain small shrines to the deity in their homes, often paying homage to their own circles of friends. Clerics of Trunthar maintain more formal shrines for worship, but usually not large cathedrals or temples.

Appearance

Truthar is a gregarious, good-looking, youthful dwarf with a blond beard and striking blue eyes. He wields a mighty warhammer called “Soulforged” on those occasions he goes into battle.

Obediences

Certain followers of Trunthar perform a daily ritual to receive a special blessing from the deity. Prepare an effigy of a friend for your shrine to Trunthar. Contemplate the bonds that you have forged with this person. Gain a +4 sacred bonus on all Diplomacy, Heal, and Sense Motive checks.
