The Crimson Ascent

The monks that follow “The Crimson Ascent” seek to attain spiritual and physical dominance over others through disciplined application of their techniques.

“The Crimson Ascent” was developed by Apira Duvasi, a former Shandorian monk who grew dissatisfied with the largely passive discipline of the Eight-Fold path. She began to devise a new path, a path to dominance and power that could be achieved through discipline and obedience.

Master Duvasi opened her first monastery devoted to this path in 417 AT in the Jorani Mountains near Kalimsport.

The Crimson Ascent holds that it is the true path to power, glory, and ultimate personal fulfillment. Most adherents mock other practices, including religious practices, because of their dependence on more powerful beings.

Adherents to Dhakranism do not believe that the Crimson Ascent is a true path to enlightenment as it flaunts many of the Eight-Fold Path’s central precepts and is essentially a self-centered doctrine.

The Crimson Ascent really says nothing for or against sorcery as a concept. It is but one of many tools to be used for self-empowerment.

The Crimson Ascent

The Crimson Ascent is comprised of the following central tenets:

  1. The Rise of the Visionary: View the world through the lens of how it can serve you.
  2. The Rise of the Illuminated: The truth is a tool to be used for dominance.
  3. The Rise of the Measured: Balance is compromise. Balance is Weakness. Tip the scales in your favor.
  4. The Rise of the Ascended: Supremacy is the goal of enlightenment. Ascend to the next level of your existence.

Worshipers and Clergy

Some privately follow the Crimson Ascent in their lives, seeking enlightenment in that way. Others seek to attain enlightenment through following a Master, one who Ascended higher than themselves, becoming their Disciples. Such masters and disciples are known as monks.

Temples and Shrines

Monasteries of the Crimson Ascent, but tend to be secretive in nature, guarding their secrets and their adherents from scrutiny by forces that would impair their ascension. They are austere, spartan, and brutal in their operation. Respect from the Masters is hard-earned.

Holy Texts

Many of the techniques perfected by the masters of the Crimson Ascent over the centuries have been recorded on scrolls and in tomes of great wisdom. These are are rare and held with great reverence in the monasteries.
