In the beginning, there was chaos. It swirled and groaned in the heart of the void until, as Fate had decreed, the three Queens were born: Irthani, Queen of Light and Day. Praathi, Queen of Dusk and Twilight. Shazira, Queen of Night and Darkness. Then came the Kakodaimoni and Eudaimoni. Each Queen shaped the universe according to her nature, using the lesser beings as her minions and her pawns.

Finally, Fate dealt her final card and place humanity upon the face of creation, giving the Queens dominion over them yet ensuring their constant struggle for the race’s heart, thus ensuring balance in the universe.
