Royal, Noble, and Political Titles of Saelfsidhedal
Royal and Noble Titles of Saelfsidhedal
King/Queen of the Sun, Moon, and Stars | Hereditary monarch of the nation. Head of state. Scion of House Theisadalra. (Majesty) |
Consort of the Heavens | Husband/Wife of the KIng/Queen. No political power, but has personal influence (Eminence) |
Prince or Princess of the Moon | The first-born child of the monarch and monarchal heir. (Royal Highness) |
Prince of the Stars | Any non-inheriting sons of the King or Queen as well as brothers of the King or Queen. (Highness) |
Princess of the Stars | Any non-inheriting daughters of the King or Queen, as well as sisters of the King or Queen. (Highness) |
Lord/Lady of the Breath | Large land-holding vassals of the King/Queen. There are four Lords/Ladies of the Breath in Saelfsidedal, each representing the North, South, East, and West. (Grace) |
Warden of the Towers | Wardens tend to be small, rural holdings or villages. Occasionally, a Warden is given leadership of a city, but usually only if that city cannot decide on its own leadership. (Warden) |
Lord/Lady | The lowest noble title for a land-holding person of a noble bloodline. Lords hold various parcels of land throughout Saelfsihedal and within city districts. (Lord/Lady) |
Keeper of the Seal | A noble title that is usually granted by a Warden or higher noble for some sort of service to the crown that is not necessarily tied to land holdings (Usually referred to as a “Keeper”). |
Knight (Sir or Dame) | Not to be confused with a Cavalier or Paladin, an aristocratic knight is the first rung on the ladder of nobility. |

The Seeker of Wisdom | Mystical adviser to the Monarch. Appointed by the monarch. |
The Marshal of Hosts | Head of the Elven Armies. Appointed by the monarch. |
Marshals: Lead war groups (Including the Rose Guard) | |
King/Queen’s Host: Rank and File Army | |
The Whisperer of the Waves | Head of the Elven Navy. Appointed by the monarch. |
Harbormasters: Oversee local waterways (rivers, harbors, etc.) | |
Captains: lead ships, patrols, etc. | |
The Guardian of the Word | Runs the national bureaucracy (taxation, census rolls, etc.). Appointed by the monarch. |

The Guardian of the Law | Enforces the monarch’s laws and oversees the lesser magistrates. Appointed by the monarch. |
High Magistrates: Oversee the legal system of a city or region. | |

The Guardian of the Peace | Enforces the monarch’s laws and oversees the Captains of the Watch |
