Money Changing

Government
The city of Osandar is ruled by its Lord Mayor. The post is usually appointed by the King of Yulania. The current Lord Mayor is Lord Armen Tavidian.
The Lord Mayor appoints all of the major positions in the city save those of the clergy.
The Lord Chamberlain presides over the city’s bureaucracy. This bureaucracy is devoted primarily to the maintenance of the city treasury and the collection of taxes. The Lord Chamberlain is also the keeper of all the city’s records.
The High Magistrate presides over the city’s court system. He appoints lesser magistrates for each of the city’s districts.
The Captain of the Guard presides over the city’s militia and local enforcement of the Lord Mayor’s law.
The Harbormaster presides over the city’s harbor watch and collects duties and tariffs in the Lord Mayor’s name.
Points of Interest
The Rose Palace, named for the rose-colored granite used in its walls, is the seat of power for the Yulanian monarchy. The Palace resides atop Palace Hill near the city’s center.
The Temple to Azumartuk is a bronze spire that towers over the Rose Palace at the city center.
The city lies on the shore of Napathi Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the known world.

Inns
The Cock and Wolf: A modest inn in the western district that caters to travelers of all sorts.
The Maiden and Staff: A mean inn in the harbor district catering to rough folk of all races. The proprietor, Fordham, has ties to The Hand of Talvor. There is an entrance to one of their black markets through a secret door located in the basement. The barkeep, Drusila, is a female half-orc.
The Cracked Cask: A comfortable inn near the market district. The proprietor, Taryon, is a hardworking, solicitous innkeep. His son, Argon, is often called upon to perform menial tasks around the inn.
The Wizard and Chain: A modest inn near the city’s south gate.
The Broken Sword: Modest inn near the city’s eastern gate that caters to travelers.
