Kysk (KISK) is the Lord of Blood, the god of murderers, killing, and death.

Kysk is one of the Later Gods of the Midron pantheon, birthed of the elements rather than the First Gods. He is a powerful and feared deity, often present in the conflicts between the gods due to his nature.

Relationships

Kysk is the twin brother of Morria, Lady of Battle. He actively plots often with his sister to stir dissension among the gods.

Kysk revels in death and murder and blood—elements which are provided readily by the depredations of humankind. He finds humans to be all-too-willing to provide him with the bloodshed he craves.

Appearances and Emissaries

Kysk appears as a diminutive man with dark hair and blood-red eyes. He is dressed in black and carries a ebon shortsword called “Slayer” at his side.

Worship of Kysk

What is good in life? Killing. Bloodshed. The conflicts that result in such. The sound of a blade rending flesh. These are what followers of Kysk live to experience. They are murderers that live for the thrill of the kill.

Prayers to Kysk are often delivered as a dedication of a kill to the Lord of Blood.

Worshipers and Clergy

Assassins, murderers, and the vengeful all tend to worship the Lord of Blood.

The Blood Lord’s clergy do not tend to advertise their presence nor their intent. The sign of the blood drop is a warning to others.

Temples and Shrines

Temples to Kysk are hidden affairs, sometimes underground, sometimes hidden in plain sight but never public, never obvious. This could be due to the clergy’s predilection to find victims for ritualistic killings that take place within their walls.

Obediences

Certain devout followers of Kysk perform daily rituals to receive special blessings from the Lord of Blood. Prick your hand with a blade and let the blood fall at your feet. Read Kysk’s will in the patterns you see there. Contemplate the power of the blood. Gain a +4 profane bonus vs. Good-aligned spells and spell-like effects, as well as a +4 profane bonus to your Fortitude save for stabilization. If you take bleed damage, make an extra DC 20 Fortitude save to avoid it.
