Shadows of the Rift
Jirra
The largest “freehold” of the The Jirran Freeholdsis the city of Jirra, on the northernmost tip of the northernmost island in the chain. It is separated from the mainland city of Kalimsport by only a mere forty miles of sea.
Jirra also acts as the capitol of the Freeholds, being the site of any meetings of the Charter Council.

Money Changing
All coins are welcome in The Jirran Freeholds. Money is exchanged freely.
Government
The city of Jirra by a council made up of the various guild masters of the city. The council is presided over by the Grand Master who is selected from within the ranks of the city’s council every three years.
The council appoints all of the major positions in the city save those of the clergy.
The Captain of the Militia presides over the city’s militia and local enforcement of the council’s law.
The Harbormaster presides over the city’s harbor watch and collects duties and tariffs in the council’s name.
Points of Interest
Along with the council that presides over the city itself, Jirra is home to the Charter Council, the ruling council for all of The Jirran Freeholds. The Charter Council meets in Council Hall atop a large hill near the city center.

The Boar’s House: A modest inn in the market district known for its exotic fabric shops. The door is shaded by a canopy of colorful fabric.
The Wench’s Blade: A mean inn in the harbor district catering to rough folk of all races. The street outside is filled with noxious smoke from a burning trash heap.
The Hare’s Meadhall: A comfortable inn near the harbor district.
The Demon and Boar: A modest inn near the city’s south gate.
The Trickster and Cask: Modest inn near the city’s west side that caters to travelers.
