Government
The city of Imdarinis is ruled by its Archmage. The post is usually appointed by a Council of Seven, which is made of Seven spell casters who are appointed by a Convocation called every seven years by the sitting Archmage. The call is made to spell casters throughout Saelfsidhedal.
The Archmage appoints all of the major positions in the city save those of the clergy.
The High Seneschal presides over the city’s bureaucracy. This bureaucracy is devoted primarily to the maintenance of the city treasury and the collection of taxes. The High Seneschal is also the keeper of all the city’s records.
The Magister Mundane presides over the city’s court system. He appoints lesser Magistrates for each of the city’s districts.
The High Watchman presides over the city’s militia and local enforcement of the Archmage’s law.
Points of Interest
The Hall of the Seers is where the Council of Seven meets and is located at the center of the city.
The Tower of the Archmage is located at the convergence of ley lines at the east end of the city.
