Druhani (droo-HA-knee) is an ancient Midron word referring to the elemental power of nature. Those that revere these forces and derive power from them are Druids.
In Northron regions, such as Jossia, Druids are known as Völva. In Southron regions, such persons are referred to as Khandara.
Within the purity of the elements and the order of the wilds lingers a power beyond the marvels of civilization. Furtive yet undeniable, these primal magics are guarded over by servants of philosophical balance known as druids. Allies to beasts and manipulators of nature, these often misunderstood protectors of the wild strive to shield their lands from all who would threaten them and prove the might of the wilds to those who lock themselves behind city walls. Rewarded for their devotion with incredible powers, druids gain unparalleled shape-shifting abilities, the companionship of mighty beasts, and the power to call upon nature’s wrath. The mightiest temper powers akin to storms, earthquakes, and volcanoes with primeval wisdom long abandoned and forgotten by civilization.
Relationships
The forces of nature are primal and powerful and venerated throughout the world, though their adherents often hide themselves away in the wilder places of the land. Also, their adherence to the balance often makes their reasoning seem strange to others. As such, many hold Druids and their like to be mysterious and quixotic in nature.
Worshipers and Clergy
Druids, and others dedicated to the primal forces of nature, often do not wear specific uniforms or sigils. These are things of the world, not nature. The force of the storm cares not what color of robe you wear.
Temples and Shrines
Worship of nature takes on many forms. Sometimes, natural groves are consecrated. Other times, pools of clear, pure water. Such places can be consecrated to “druhani” and made sacred.
Obediences
Certain devout followers of druhani partake in a daily ritual to invoke a special blessing. Find a quiet place in the midst of natures beauty and/or bounty. Meditate for an hour on the balance of forces that have created it. Gain a +4 sacred bonus to Survival, Knowledge (nature), and Perception checks. Once, during the next 24 hours, the reverent person can re-roll a d20 and take the better roll.
