Of all the chromatic dragons, green dragons are perhaps the easiest to deal with diplomatically.

Bio:

According to a legend, Scraelaterix is an ancient green dragon who resides in a dead volcano in the Slayt Mountains. During the time of The Five, Scraelaterix terrorized the countryside around her mountain home and killed many adventures and knights who came to claim her treasures. The Five, mighty in strength and glory, came and nearly vanquished the ancient beast. However, the blademaster Satrina Sableblade managed to secure an oath from the beast to leave the mountains in peace forever more.

Since that time, other adventurers have come to claim the dragon’s treasure—came and died. All save a human barbarian called Burandir. Burandir, a Jossian, came down to the south in search of glory and treasure. He heard the legends of the ancient green dragon who had sworn an oath to an adventurer so long ago to leave the land in peace. He sought the beast’s treasure and no small amount of glory. So Burandir and his band of men made their way into the mountain lair, each of the men dying in turn of the many perils within the mountain. Finally, alone, he made it to Scraelaterix’s lair. Once there, he was unable to secure the dragon’s treasure but managed to sneak away with one of the dragon’s eggs. The barbarian barely made back out of the mountain alive.
