According to him, Pravenel was born to an elven slave woman taken by House Illythis to work in the fungal fields of Ambraxaran. She didn’t pick fast enough and was beaten, accelerating her labor, and she died giving birth to him. He, too, was a slave until he managed to get away and make a life for himself. No one has dared refute his story.

Regardless, Pravenel has a strong reputation in the underworld of the city of Ambraxaran. He’s a tough customer, being a ‘surface dweller’ raised in the underground realms. He has surrounded himself with a few loyal companions and a ‘squad’ of fighters. People in the ‘pits’ of Ambraxaran treat him with equal parts fear and disdain. He frequents the inn called “The Crimson Stain.”
